Talk by Prof. Simone Arcagni Friday 29th September at 4pm Tecnopolo Meeting Room (MO52 - First Floor) THE EYE OF THE MACHINE Abstract: Gaze and vision are concepts that concern media, philosophy, and cultural studies as well as science and technology. This talk will be an introduction to the cultural logic of the contemporary look, to the cultural aspects, and to the social implications of the computational eye. Scientific and humanistic studies show that it is essential for both fields to exchange point of view in order to improve their research instruments.
