Designing and planning radio dispatching systems to meet Public Security Communication requirements including interoperability

Program:

Radio dispatching systems are very important for Public Protection and Disaster Relief (PPDR) organizations as well as for operational purposes of many companies like the energy sector. In this course the experiences in planning TETRA and DMR networks will be presented. The planning efforts include radio propagation issues, organizational constraints and business limitations.Beside those narrowband systems that are attractive due to maturity or price, a significant trend is observed to develop broadband systems. During this lecture needs identified by PPDR entities as well different approaches to acquire the broadband trunking networks will be shown. As an example the eLTE system by Huawei will be described. Another challenge is to ensure the interoperability among different Public Security Communication (PSC) networks and organizations. Some solutions for interoperability that are based on outcomes of 7th Framework Programme (FP7) projects, will be presented.

Oxide Electronics: from conventional to multifilamentary conduction mechanisms

    Oxide degradation (charge trapping, Stress Induced Leakage Current, NBTI) and breakdown. Fundamentals of oxide reliability analysis (Time-to-breakdown, Poisson and Weibull distrib.).
